Pastry ring with tomato and bacon

Costs: under R80 Serves: 4
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 25 minutes
Oven temperature: 200°C

• I-2 rolls puff pastry
• 125ml sundried tomato pesto
• 350ml mozzarella cheese, grated
• 100g olives. pitted and chopped
• 8 strips streaky bacon, crisply fried
• fresh oregano

1 Carefully roll the pastry open and spread a thick layer of pesto on Et. Sprinkle the cheese, olives, bacon and oregano over and roll the pastry up into a long roll.
2 Cut the roll into 2cm slices and arrange these in a circle on a prepared baking sheet. In a preheated oven ,bake for about 25 minutes or until cooked.
